HISTORY

Formed in 1998 – we’ve come a long way. From our first office, a single room in North London, we’ve grown to occupy a substantial purpose built HQ in Enfield in 2008 and opened our own plant hire yard in 2010.

In between we’ve achieved ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001. We’ve also been awarded a Network Rail Principal Contractor’s License.

We’ve grown up in an era of rapid change. That makes us uniquely flexible, adaptable and excited by the opportunities of the new. It also means we have the experience, knowledge and commitment needed to tackle the most challenging projects on your behalf. The future’s looking even brighter.

Leadership

Look at the heads of a company and you’ll get a pretty good idea of the character and personality of the whole business.

We’re a family owned and run firm and our founders Sean O’Driscoll and Donal Gallagher are joint Managing Directors. As we’ve grown, that sense of being a close-knit community with common goals and values persists.

We recognise the value of skills and training and invest significantly in ensuring that our staff receive the support they need to build their capabilities. Our dedicated Training Manager is charged with identifying individuals and opportunities to grow our offer to our clients.

Health
& Safety

There is nothing more important to us than the Health and Safety of our workforce and of the communities within which we operate.

We do much more than simply meet regulations. We actively seek to engage in all aspects of HSE policy in order to exceed best practice requirements and our policy is delivered through the OHSAS 18001 accreditation.

Our senior team have developed invaluable strategic initiatives around drugs and alcohol, manual handling and working at heights among others.

Health and Safety will remain our highest priority as the business grows.

Sustainability

The sustainability of our business depends upon meeting the expectations of our clients, regulators, the construction industry and the public.

That means supporting the communities in which we work and forming close links with schools, colleges and universities. The company actively employs locally where possible and monitors the wellbeing of staff with satisfaction surveys and occupational health surveys.

Galldris effectively manages its environmental impacts through a series of robust systems. These include schemes to reduce waste and setting a carbon reduction target.

Quality

Galldris is QMS certified and registered to ISO9001:2008 by UKAS accredited auditors. Our dedicated Quality Manager is committed to improving performance and customer satisfaction and all our sites are audited by qualified internal auditors.

Satisfaction surveys consistently show that our customers rank our quality control as good to excellent.

We recognise that being a successful company depends upon our ability to continue to improve our service to clients.
